Indian Network For People Living With HIV/AIDS (INP+)

INP+ exists to address the emerging and unaddressed issues related to PLHIV at both physiological and psychological level and at various platforms from local to national level.

Our organization was founded in 1997 in Chennai, for the People Living with HIV (PLHIV) in India and has played a prominent role in the capacity building of community members to address the concerns of PLHIV whether physiological or psychological. We ensure to address the issues at the national, state and district levels that are emerging, let alone unaddressed, in all these years. We define ourselves as a National Federation that has realized the needs of PHLIV and has decided to work in 5 southern states of India, namely Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka and Kerala. For effective working, we also have 54 member organizations across 4 southern states.

Capacity Building Initiative

We play a prominent role in the capacity building of community members. By providing training and resources, we empower individuals to address the concerns of PLHIV with confidentiality and sensitivity. Our capacity-building initiatives focus on enhancing skills and knowledge to effectively support the PLHIV community.


Comprehensive Care Program for PLHIV

We have dedicated ourselves to address both the physiological and psychological needs of people living with HIV (PLHIV) in India. Our comprehensive care programs ensure that PLHIV receive the support they need at every level, from local to national.

Session on HIV (Prevention and Control) Act 2017

Advocate K. Shanmugavelayutham, Lawyer Chennai High Court is educating the Tamil Nadu PLHIV Community leaders on HIV (Prevention and Control) Act 2017 as a part of Capacity Building Workshop organized by INP+. This interactive session included many information and experience sharing special focus on Ombudsman


Tamil Nadu Members Capacity Building Workshop

In continuation to the capacity building workshop series, for the first quarter of FY 2024-25, INP+ Federation conducted a Capacity Building Workshop to its Tamil Nadu Members. Representatives from 15 districts participated actively. Discussions on training needs, situation assessment, visioning were key agenda covered during this workshop


Karnataka Members Capacity Building Workshop

The last workshop for the first quarter of FY 2024-25 was conducted in Bangalore for Karnataka State Member NGOs. 28 districts representatives took part in this Capacity Building workshop. Interesting discussion took place on topics like Situation Assessment and current needs of community member in health, social and legal sector. The workshop also included topics like visioning exercise and training needs assessment.
